The lesson goes outside.

How a lesson outside works out

📖
Read, listen, look

A piece of explanation, a recording or a video at every stop — right where it applies.

🧩
Puzzle and hand in

Quiz questions, open questions, a photo or an audio recording as proof. All from their own phone.

🏅
Auto-marked or graded by you

Right or wrong straight away, or you judge it yourself. Five points or a hundred — you decide how well it went.

Example lesson

"Who lives in the ditch?" 🐸

Step 1
The pollard willow

Task: record one bird sound you can hear here.

Step 2
The water’s edge

Photo task: find three water creatures and name them.

Step 3
The bridge

Quiz question: what does all that duckweed tell you about the water?

Finale
Field report handed in 🐸

Class photo in the school frame, points on the leaderboard.

Why a lesson outside the classroom works right now

Making a genuinely good lesson is a challenge — all the more so now that AI has made learning and assessment more complicated. That is exactly why stepping away from the screen and the paper and heading into the real world is so appealing: out there, little can be copied.

Along the way your pupils read and listen, look, solve puzzles and upload photos. They see straight away whether something was right, or you mark it yourself. Right or wrong works, but so do points: is a task worth five or a hundred? With an account you follow their progress — and with location, audio recordings or photos they show they really were there.

Schools are rightly asked where pupil data ends up. The app is built in the Netherlands and runs on a European server, and pupils can join without an account — in which case nothing of theirs is stored at all.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know pupils really were there?
From what they hand in. A step can be set to unlock only at the right location, and you can ask for a photo or an audio recording as proof.
Can I award points instead of right or wrong?
Yes. You decide what a task is worth — five points or a hundred — and whether you mark it yourself or let it be graded automatically.
Do pupils have to create an account?
They may, but they do not have to. With an account you follow their progress; without one everything stays anonymous on their own device.
